The premise is that if you can understand how jazz musicians communicate, improvise, innovate, generate ideas, create, respond, lead and support, then there are valuable lessons, skills and techniques which you can apply in your organisation.
We offer:
We seek to identify and utilise new sets of skills to bring about change, enhance communication, leadership, team working, and innovation. We do this by bringing a jazz band into the board room or conference venue, and we examine the skills of live improvising jazz musicians, and see how we could utilise those skills within organisations, looking at new ways of working, market development and customer engagement.
All of the above involve live jazz performance embedded within the sessions, which are interactive, engaging, thought provoking, educational, memorable, motivational, inspiring and fun!
We provide advice and support through consultancy, research, training, development and delivery of short courses, and with the application of Solutions Focus Coaching.
Improwise Sustainability Consulting draws on a wide range of expertise, and experience of working with hundreds of clients in the private and public sectors.
The programmes give participants the opportunity to experience life in a developing world context. There is a structured learning programme, where participants engage with local communities and projects. The Improwise programmes draw on expertise in Transformational Learning and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to provide a unique approach to the development and delivery of leadership development programmes.
Programmes are tailor-made for different groups and organisations, providing opportunities for individuals to utilise their own expertise and experience with local communities. Programme lengths vary, but are typically up to 10 days in duration.
As well as the leadership development component, these programmes also provide the opportunity for organisations and teams to review their own take on CSR, reflecting on the values and missions of their own organisations, and different ways of engaging with these issues in practical and meaningful ways.
